Childbirth Education

As a Lamaze-trained childbirth educator with over 10 years of experience teaching group and individual classes, I, The Pioneer Midwife, have intentionally focused my work in midwifery to center on the aspects outside of the birth space that are often forgotten about. At Pioneer Women's Health & Maternity Service, I offer comprehensive childbirth education classes that not only prepare expectant parents for what to expect during childbirth but also arm them with the knowledge they need to participate in shared decision-making regarding their baby's entry into the world.

I believe that childbirth education is an investment in one's own health and the health of the baby. With my years of experience, Lamaze training, and intentional focus on the aspects outside of the birth space, I am uniquely qualified to provide expectant parents with the education and support they need during this transformative time.

I offer three options for childbirth education classes at Pioneer Women's Health & Maternity Service. The first is the Pioneer Midwifery Traditional Childbirth Education Series, which is a virtual class offering composed of four weekly sessions. This option is ideal for those who are beginning early in their pregnancy and who want shorter overall meeting times. Each session is approximately 1.5 hours, providing a total of 6 hours of education, and the cost is $295.

The second option is the Pioneer Midwife Express Childbirth Education Crash Course, which condenses the information contained within the traditional series into two weekly class sessions. This option is designed for those who may be further along in their pregnancy or seeking to receive this education at an accelerated pace. Each session is approximately 2.5 hours, providing a total of 5 hours of education, and the cost is $275.

Lastly, you may choose to customize a childbirth education visit, having me focus on all of the topics and content that you are most curious about and interested in. These visits are 1.5 hrs. in length and may be a great option for those looking for a refresher or those seeking a very specific focus. Each session costs $200.

In my classes, I provide expectant parents with guidance, strategy, and proven methods that will help them understand their bodies and the associated changes that occur during labor.
