Lactation Education

At Pioneer Women's Health & Maternity Service, I, The Pioneer Midwife, am proud to offer lactation education services that are rooted in years of experience and certification as an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). I have spent thousands of hours assisting families in their breastfeeding journeys, working with children as young as one day old, in addition to those choosing to continue breastfeeding throughout toddlerhood. My certification and experience in prenatal and postpartum care and education set me apart and especially qualify me for this work.

I offer three options for lactation education services at Pioneer Women's Health & Maternity Service. The first is the Pioneer Midwife Concierge Services, which provide families with individualized childbirth education or lactation services in-person within the comfort of their home. This service is ideal for birthing families who want one-on-one, curated education and/or who require hands-on or lactation assistance. Pump fitting and set-up are included with lactation services, and evening and weekend visits are available. A comprehensive childbirth education visit lasts approximately three hours, and the cost is $275 per visit. Each lactation visit lasts approximately 1.5 hours, and the cost is $200 per visit for one baby and $265 per visit for twins or tandem nursing parents.

The second option is The Pioneer Midwife, Breastfeeding Education Virtual Class, which is comprised of two weekly sessions that provide education on the basics of breastfeeding. This class is ideal for anyone interested in preparing for their breastfeeding journey or learning how to combat common pitfalls faced in the immediate days and weeks after birth. Each session lasts approximately 1.5 hours, providing a total of three hours of education, and the cost is $150.
